Seventh edition for the International Biennale of Architecture “Barbara Cappochin”, that for the first time has taken place this year in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Laboratorio Morseletto has confirmed its presence at the event as a technical partner, offering its competences in manufacturing structures for the photographic exhibition of the “Five Tables of Architecture”, inaugural event of the Biennale that until February 2016 will be exhibited along Corso Italia in Cortina d’Ampezzo.

“Sole, tirator d’acuti dardi e la gentile Luna”, is the title of the installation of the architect-designer Tobia Scarpa together with Laboratorio Morseletto, which took part in the “Lithic Vertigo”, cultural event of Marmomacc 2015, held in Verona from the 30th September to the 3rd October in conjunction with the international marble exhibition.
The exhibition, cured by Vincenzo Pavan, intends to promote the lytic “Made in Italy” through the interpretation of a theme – the act of rising – by international designers, matching an architect to each of the six selected firms, as they excel in the stone industry.
The elegance of
Monday 5th October 2015 over sixty architects originating from different parts of the world such as United States, Australia, Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Thailand, Great Britain, China, Birmania, Egypt, South Africa – have gathered on the Berici Hills, in the picturesque setting of the Cengelle quarry that belongs to Laboratorio Morseletto.
To guide the group Vincent Marazita, member of the Marble Institute of America (MIA), from the Building Stone Institute (BSI) and president of the Stone Trends International, who was in charge of organizing a range of workshops and tours of local firms in order to deepen the knowledge of the stone
Laboratorio Morseletto has realized in Vicenza Stone the models of the Milan Palaces for the exhibition of the Italian Stand “Innesti/Grafting”, curated by Cino Zucchi, who is amongst the most notorious Italian designers in the Architecture field and urban design.
The development of the theme assigned by Rem Kookhaas to the national attendants -Absorbing Modernity 1914/2014 – started not just from the research of the elements of the “resistance to the new” of the Italian territory, but to the particular exception with which the modern condition is interpreted by our country.
During the Awards ceremony held at the Olympic Theatre in Vicenza, the evening of the 31st October, Barbara Morseletto, on behalf of Laboratorio Morseletto, gave a special recognition to the City of Rome as the MACRO’s buyer, designed by Studio Odile Decq.
Subsequently Laboratorio hosted in Cengelle quarry the prestigious Dedalo Minosse’s convivial event unique world prize in which the buyer role is recognized as paramount and strategic in the construction process.
During a range of meetings “Thursdays at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum” dedicated to the arts and crafts, Thursday 27th November Barbara and Deborah Morseletto conversed with Nathalie and Virgine Droulers, interior designer twins with whom is undergoing a long-standing cooperation.
The round table theme, that took place in the fascinating setting of the Bagatti Valsecchi house museum, was “Marble: a strong material thought and manufactured ‘at the tailor’s’”.
In the occasion of the VI International Biennale of Architecture “Barbara Cappochin” Laboratorio Morseletto has realized the “Table of Architecture” designed by Renzo Piano and built in Vicenza Stone, placed on the pedestrian Liston of Padova at the height of Cavour square.A table 20 meters long and resting on the terrain in order to make visible the stone only, on top of which have been exposed the best 58 best operas selected by the International Award jury between the over three hundred presented and coming from more than 30 countries from all continents.

Back in April 2013 Laboratorio Morseletto cured the installation and realization of the scale models 1:2 for the exhibition that took place in the space Casabella Laboratory in Milano. Where the models, photographs and drawings that illustrate the key concepts of the projects elaborated for the principal boutiques of Valentino in Los Angeles, Milan, New York and Paris by David Chipperfield Architects have been exposed.
For Marmomacc 2012 the degree in Industrial Design of the University Institute of Architecture in Venice presented some projects born in the annuals design workshop.
Laboratorio Morseletto has realized in Vicenza Stone the artworks of students who have confronted themselves on the theme of the reduction of the processing of the stone discart, that generally represent approximately the 70% of the initial/starting material.
For the exhibition “100% Gravity” during Marmomacc 2012, Laboratorio Morseletto has realized in Vicenza Stone the project of Architect and Designer Enzo Calabrese of a memorial monument of the Italian Unity for the city of Teano.
