Monday 5th October 2015 over sixty architects originating from different parts of the world such as United States, Australia, Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Thailand, Great Britain, China, Birmania, Egypt, South Africa – have gathered on the Berici Hills, in the picturesque setting of the Cengelle quarry that belongs to Laboratorio Morseletto.
To guide the group Vincent Marazita, member of the Marble Institute of America (MIA), from the Building Stone Institute (BSI) and president of the Stone Trends International, who was in charge of organizing a range of workshops and tours of local firms in order to deepen the knowledge of the stone product and of the machineries Made in Italy.
The meeting took part in a scenographic setting enriched by the yellow and grey shades of Vicenza stone that is quarried from cava Cengelle. The spokesman, the Architect Lorenzo Marchetto, delivered a conference on the Venetian Terrazzo techniques, starting from the historical origins and getting to its application in the contemporary Architecture.
Huge interest from architects, in particular for the possibility, thanks to the experience and to the abilities reached by Laboratorio Morseletto, to precast slabs, even of remarkable dimensions that can be used both for floors, ceilings and walls, with the advantage to be able to reach far destinations and to respect particularly swift execution timings.
The event fits in the context of the ”Italian Stone Technology & Design Conference” and belongs to the “Extraordinary promotional plan of the Made in Italy” organized by Marmomacc together with the Ministry of Economic Development (MISE), Confindustria Marmomacchine, ICE-Italian Trade Agency and Verona Fiere.
