“Sole, tirator d’acuti dardi e la gentile Luna”, is the title of the installation of the architect-designer Tobia Scarpa together with Laboratorio Morseletto, which took part in the “Lithic Vertigo”, cultural event of Marmomacc 2015, held in Verona from the 30th September to the 3rd October in conjunction with the international marble exhibition.
The exhibition, cured by Vincenzo Pavan, intends to promote the lytic “Made in Italy” through the interpretation of a theme – the act of rising – by international designers, matching an architect to each of the six selected firms, as they excel in the stone industry.
The elegance of Tobia Scarpa’s sign is reflected in an opera that is both imposing and light, stable and moving, that is able to enhance at best the qualities and tones – white, yellow, grey – of Vicenza stone originating from Laboratorio Morseletto’s quarries. Four colums five metres high manufactured with different finishes rise through overlapping fortresses, balanced at the base by a terraced platforms realized with three thick slabs called “bore”, in origin used as table top for the stone’s cutting.
